Futurelab held a Research Discussion Day featuring a mix of our current research findings as well as the latest thinking from the wider worlds of education and industry. The day included both Futurelab presentations and external speakers and focused on the following three themes:

• Teachers and innovations - supporting innovative educational practices
• Transforming learning spaces - thinking beyond the classroom
• Informal and family learning - exploring the wider learning landscape

There was also the opportunity to learn more about the DCSF/Futurelab Beyond Current Horizons programme exploring longer-term challenges for education, looking towards understanding potential transformations in society and technology in 2025 and beyond.
