Submit an article
We're pleased to publish other people's articles on our website (see web articles), and are always keen to hear from new writers. If you’ve been involved in an interesting project or piece of research, or if you have a particular viewpoint to air, and you’d like to write an article for us, please do get in touch. If it’s relevant to our field and appropriate to our audience, we’ll be happy to put it online.
Guidelines
If you're interested in submitting an article, please do the following:
Before sending your article e-mail webmaster [at] futurelab [dot] org [dot] uk with a brief outline of the subject of your article. If it's accepted you'll be asked to submit the article to us in full.
Please note the following guidelines:
- length - articles are usually 500-1,000 words long
- summary - please provide us with a separate 30-50 word summary for the intro page
- links - it's helpful if you can list any links at the end of the article
- contact e-mail address - if you're happy for people to contact you after reading your article, let us know and we'll include your e-mail address
- comments - we invite comments on all of our articles and reserve the right to publish these
- editing - we reserve the right to edit material
- copyright - unless you make a request for your article to be listed as an exception, it will fall under the general terms of Futurelab's Open Access Licence - see open access policy for details.
