I really like the look of this game but is the chat feature required for the game to be played in full only available using apple? Schools don't use apple macs!

Hi Nicki,

Thanks for your interest in iYa-oLa. iYa-oLa is designed to integrate slightly with iChat, in that if you were to click on the "Hi" or "Hola" button, this would automatically bring up your iChat buddy list.

However, if you are using a PC, all you would do instead is manually start your windows-based messenger application to communicate with the other class or students. This would work equally well. The key is to make a call or send a message to let the other group know when you are ready to start chatting (which you would have to do even if you were using iChat.)
