What is Enquiring Minds?
Enquiring Minds is a three-year research and development project investigating how children can shape their own learning, by changing the emphasis from what they learn to how they learn.
Run by Futurelab and funded by Microsoft through its Partners in Learning initiative, the project is essentially trying to put into practice the theories of fully personalised learning.
Full details about the research programme, how to get involved, and outcomes from the project can be found by going to the Enquiring Minds website:

About the partners
Futurelab
Futurelab pioneers ways of using technology to transform the way people learn. A not-for-profit organisation, it works with others to create rich learning resources that are involving, interactive and imaginative by:
- providing support for ideas, turning them into working prototypes
- communicating innovative practice
- undertaking learning research.
Enquiring Minds is part of Futurelab's learning research programme which evaluates the impact of innovation on learning and teaching, and publishes the learning outcomes of new educational prototypes and processes.

Microsoft
Through its Partners in Learning initiative, Microsoft is helping to empower students and teachers to realise their full potential. By broadening access to a spectrum of education and ICT resources - tools, programs, and practices - this initiative is looking to skill and inspire students and teachers to use technology in creative and innovative ways.
To realise these aims in the UK, Microsoft is partnering with the Teacher Development Agency (TDA), the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), the National Assembly of Wales (NAW) and key stakeholders from the education community such as Futurelab.
