Event Eye pulls together the conversations pre, during and post event (linking to blogs, twitter, websites and sites related to the content of the event); signposts educators to new resources; adds to the advertisement of an event and helps create an audience-participative/feedback rich event.
It is a branded and bespoke product that is made available to conference organisers to pull together, and make sense of, the conference 'buzz' - merging the back channel conversations with the up-front speakers.
Many conferences, organisers and audiences are battling to find the place of the 'back channel' within the main conference. Blogs, tweets, coffee-discussions etc that are sparked by the main presentations or that challenge the direction of the conference or speakers.
Ignoring this back channel is missing the opportunity to understand the audience and to build the conference movement; publishing it creates dislocated comments and possible friction.
Event Eye creates links between the disparate comments to help organisers understand the mood/interests of the audience; to build from their reactions and to shape the conference in light of audience need.
Event Eye is a participative, democratic way of shaping any event - in or outside of education.
